ECC Netherlands can only provide assistance if the trader is based in another EU Member State, Norway, Iceland or the United Kingdom.

Is the trader based outside of the EU, Norway, Iceland or the United Kingdom? For example, in China or the United States? A consumer organisation based in the country of the trader may be able to help.

ECC Netherlands can only assist consumers who live in the Netherlands and who have a complaint about a trader based in another EU member state, Norway, Iceland or the United Kingdom.

Did you purchase the product or service as a consumer? So not for business use.

Have you already contacted the trader about your complaint in writing?

Please complain to the trader in writing first (for example, via letter, email or text message). This will give the trader a fair chance to solve the issue. Does the trader not offer a solution? Or is your complaint not being responded to? Then we are happy to help out.

Please note: it is important to document your correspondence. We will ask you for copies of your correspondence with the trader when you submit a complaint.
