The German company Cleverbuy GmbH discontinued all its business activities due to payment problems. The company is known for buying used phones from consumers. Cleverbuy asks consumers to stop sending them products.

Stop sending products to Cleverbuy

Have you sold a product through the Cleverbuy website? Then don't send it anymore. The company can no longer pay you the agreed amount. The website states that Cleverbuy no longer buys or sells products.

Unfortunately, help from the ECC is no longer possible

We kindly ask you not to file any complaints against Cleverbuy with us. Unfortunately, the European Consumer Centre (ECC) can no longer mediate for you in this case. The company says on its website that it has filed for bankruptcy. This means a judge will decide if the company can keep going or must close. If the company must close, the court appoints a trustee. That is someone who decides on the company's debts. The ECC has no influence on this process.

Request a refund from the trustee

Have sold a product and sent it to Cleverbuy? If the company still has to pay you, you can report to the trustee when they have been appointed. That has not happened yet. Therefore, we cannot share any contact details with you at this time. We will share the contact details on this page as soon as they are available.
