Sending a parcel within the EU? Use the European Commission’s price comparison tool
Are you sending a parcel to a friend or family member in another EU country? Finding the best parcel delivery option and price can be strenuous. That is why the European Commission has developed a useful tool to help. The parcel price transparency tool helps you compare services and prices for the available delivery companies to find the most economical option.
The price comparison tool is now available in all official EU languages. With the tool, the European Commission wishes to provide more transparency about international parcel prices. Delivery companies with more than 50 employees or with offices in multiple EU countries are required to share their price information. This information is checked and updated every year.
How does it work?
- Choose the EU country you wish to send the parcel from.
- Choose the EU country you wish to send the parcel to.
- Choose the type of parcel you are sending. Is it a letter or a package? What is the weight of the parcel? Do you have any special request, such as receiving a track and trace code or sending the parcel by registered mail?
The website provides an overview of the available delivery companies and the services they offer. The list also shows prices (excluding VAT).
