Tickets from rescheduled events and vouchers from events cancelled due to coronavirus that fall under the 'Save your ticket, enjoy later' scheme are valid longer.

About the scheme

The 'Save your ticket, enjoy later' scheme was created during the first corona wave, in April 2020. This scheme means that tickets for rescheduled events remain valid and tickets for cancelled events can be converted into vouchers. Reclaiming money has also always been possible.

Why extend the ticket scheme?

The original ticket scheme did not take into account the long duration of the corona crisis. Events are now being rescheduled for the second or third time. Some were even cancelled permanently. The ongoing corona crisis and measures have also prevented vouchers from being exchanged for another event. With the extension of the 'Save your ticket, enjoy later' scheme, tickets can still be used at a later date.

What does this mean for you?

Purchased tickets for rescheduled events are valid longer. The period of validity has been extended from 13 to 26 months. Was the event cancelled, and have you accepted a voucher? Then you now have more time to convert your voucher into a ticket. This is now valid for 24 months.

Money back? That's also an option!

If the event organiser makes you an offer to extend your ticket or voucher, you do not have to accept this. You will then be entitled to a refund of the amount you originally paid for the event. Do realise that the consequences of the corona pandemic are big for everyone, and if too many consumers demand their money back, event organisers could get into financial trouble.
